Get Your Wellies On!

This Sunday, we are inviting all our Mums in the Know families on a "Welly Walk" with Incredible Edible Wilmslow. What perfect timing, with all this rain we have been getting recently.. Plus, its a great way for children to emulate Peppa Pig with some proper puddle jumping!

The walk is a circular, hour long route, with a quiz to complete on the way round. At the end of the walk families can choose to donate a seedling to be planted in the town centre community plots, where the
children can watch their crops grow and show their friends.

Event organiser, Cath I’Anson said, ‘the children had great fun at last year’s walk, it’s a really nice way for them to be involved with the growing that’s going on in town.’

This year’s walk begins at Ned Yates at 11am on Sunday 6th May, they are happy for us to leave vehicles on their overflow car park for the duration of the walk. Also, if you fancy grabbing some food & drink in the Ned Yates cafe, before or after the walk- simply mention Mums in the Know for a 10% discount!

From 2pm volunteers will meet at the community plots to plant out the seedlings from the walk with the children. Incredible Edible are keen to encourage more volunteers to help around town and really get Wilmslow centre looking great whilst sharing the skills on feeding ourselves with local seasonal food. To join them as a volunteer, go to Wilmslow library 2pm, the first Sunday of every month.
