Lovely place to just get out of the house and let the kids run around without cars. Lovely lake, with wildlife and conservation areas. Great for pushchairs, bikes and scooters! For a stroll, walk around the lake, if you want to walk further, take in the common and extend walk onto the Bridleways off Newgate and Lindow Lane.
Alderley Edge "The Edge"
Easy access woodland walks for all with dramatic views of the Cheshire countryside. Great to explore
the woods and talk of the myths and legends of this area. It also has wonderful history of ancient copper mines. Take a walk and then pop into The Wizard for some lunch or afternoon tea.
Middlewood Way & Canal
Walk or Cycle along here. You can join it from numerous parts, and its all traffic free. It runs from Macclesfield to Marple. Beautiful scenery and plenty of country pubs to stop for lunch.
Manchester Airport Orbital Route
Cycle route of about 8 miles, mainly off the road. Great way to see the planes and visit the Aviation Viewing Park.
